Shoot Out Rules 2024
We will play in 3-man teams, with each team playing 3 holes. All holes will play as Par 3’s. There will be 3 teams in each group. The low team total after 3 holes will advance to the finals.
Format: Only one team member will tee off on each hole, with each of the 3 team members hitting one tee shot on each of the three holes. The team determines which team member will tee off on each hole. The other team members will both hit the 2nd shot, and the team will decide which of those two shots to use. The “other” teammate, will hit the 3rd shot. Four (4) will be the max score on any hole. (So if your tee shot goes in the water, record your 4 and move on.)
We have 29 teams of 3, so we will have three teams starting on each of the 9 holes on the Oaks Course. Each group will have a group marshal who will keep score. On all non-Par 3 holes, temporary tee boxes will be set up approximately 90-140 yards from the green. Par 3’s will be played from the White Tees. Low team score after 3 holes will be declared the group winner. For teams tied after 3 holes, any team member, from spots chosen by the group marshal, will break ties with a single putt. Blind draw to determine who putts from where. Closest to the hole advances.
This will put 9 teams in the finals, which will take place on the 9th hole, with great viewing spots behind the green. The top 5 places will be in the money.
Same format for this one-hole final. Team will decide which member hits the tee shot, and the other 2 teammates will scramble on the second shot, with only the 3rd teammate hitting the 3rd shot. Any/all ties will be decided by a one-putt playoff from selected spots on the green. All 5 places will be decided on this one hole.
Those not participating in the finals are encouraged to find a spot behind the green to witness the thrilling conclusion. The beverage cart will be there as well.
Team payoffs will be as follows:
